Service Policies

At Music City Steam Co, we believe in clear communication, respectful service, and honest expectations. Our policies are designed to protect both the customer and our company by explaining what is included, what may affect pricing, and what limitations may apply.

By booking service with Music City Steam Co, the customer acknowledges that they have reviewed and accepted our Service Policy, Liability Policy, Cancellation Policy, and Pricing Disclaimer.

Service Policy

Music City Steam Co provides professional steam cleaning and rejuvenation services for residential kitchens, bathrooms, and community kitchens. Our services are cleaning and rejuvenation only.

  • We use high-temperature steam as our primary cleaning method. Chemical agents are used only when steam alone is insufficient to address buildup.
  • Service scope is limited to the appliances and areas included in the booked package. Additional areas or appliances not included in the original booking may be added as approved add-ons.
  • Bathroom services cover accessible fixtures, surfaces, tile, grout, and glass as outlined in the booked package. Service results may vary based on tile type, grout condition, mineral buildup severity, and pre-existing staining or damage.
  • Music City Steam Co does not provide appliance repair, electrical work, plumbing, mold remediation, pest removal, or restoration of damaged finishes.
  • We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service if conditions present a safety risk to our technicians or equipment.
  • Service results may vary based on appliance age, condition, buildup severity, staining, rust, worn finishes, prior chemical use, and pre-existing damage.

Liability Policy

Music City Steam Co takes care in every service we perform. However, the following limitations apply.

  • Music City Steam Co is not liable for pre-existing damage, worn finishes, loose components, or conditions present before service begins. We document the condition of the service area before work starts.
  • We are not responsible for damage resulting from appliances that are in a state of disrepair, have loose or broken parts, or have been previously damaged by chemical use or improper cleaning.
  • Customers are responsible for removing dishes, food, fragile items, and valuables from the service area before our arrival. Music City Steam Co is not liable for damage to items left in the work area.
  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the service performed. We do not accept liability for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.
  • Before service begins, our technician will review the service area and note any pre-existing conditions. Proceeding with service constitutes the customer's acknowledgment of those conditions.

Adult Presence & Property Access Policy

  • For all services performed in an occupied residence, an adult age 18 or older must remain on the property and be reasonably available for the entire duration of the service.
  • The adult present must be the homeowner, service recipient, purchaser, tenant with appropriate authority, or another adult authorized to provide access and make decisions regarding the service.
  • This requirement allows us to address questions, access needs, appliance conditions, pets, unexpected circumstances, and any additional work that may require approval during the appointment.
  • Exception for unoccupied properties: An adult is not required to remain present when service is performed at a confirmed vacant or unoccupied residence or other unoccupied location, provided access and service authorization have been arranged with Music City Steam Co. in advance.
  • If the required adult leaves an occupied residence before the service is completed, Music City Steam Co. may pause or discontinue the service. Applicable service, cancellation, or rescheduling charges may apply.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

  • A $50 deposit is required at the time of booking and is applied toward your total service cost.
  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will receive a full deposit refund or credit toward a rescheduled appointment.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment forfeit the $50 deposit. This covers the cost of reserved time and materials.
  • Rescheduling requests made more than 48 hours in advance are accommodated at no charge, subject to availability.
  • Same-day cancellations and no-shows forfeit the deposit. A new deposit will be required to rebook.
  • Music City Steam Co reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to weather, equipment issues, or technician illness. In such cases, a full refund or complimentary reschedule will be offered.
  • By booking, you authorize Music City Steam Co. to charge the remaining balance upon service completion.

Pricing Disclaimer

Prices listed on our website are based on average residential conditions and standard appliance sizes. Final pricing may vary.

  • Final pricing may be adjusted based on appliance size, buildup severity, grease and carbon accumulation, condition, staining, accessibility, and requested add-ons.
  • Any pricing adjustments will be communicated and approved by the customer before additional work is performed.
  • Tennessee state law requires sales tax to be collected on the cleaning of freestanding equipment (ranges, refrigerators, microwaves). Sumner County sales tax of 9.25% applies to all taxable services.
  • When a booking includes both taxable and non-taxable items, Tennessee law requires tax to be collected on the entire package total.
  • Subscription and maintenance plan pricing is based on standard visit conditions. Visits requiring significantly more time or materials due to excessive buildup may be subject to an additional charge, communicated in advance.
